I also don't want to give the impression that existing block devices can't be converted, but the integrity of the user's data is paramount. To that end, I've added this admonition that I hope addresses everyone's concerns: <note> <title>Make backups!</title> <para> Always back up your data before making low level changes, such as migrating to a bcache device.
