Summary: [PATCH] make firewalld less developer-centric, proofread and add some examples https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809159 Summary: [PATCH] make firewalld less developer-centric, proofread and add some examples Product: Fedora Documentation Version: devel Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: unspecified Priority: unspecified Component: release-notes AssignedTo: relnotes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: tchollingsworth@xxxxxxxxx QAContact: kwade@xxxxxxxxxx CC: wb8rcr@xxxxxxxx, oglesbyzm@xxxxxxxxx Classification: Fedora Story Points: --- Type: --- Regression: --- Mount Type: --- Documentation: --- Created attachment 574546 --> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=574546 patch against f17 branch in release-notes.git The firewalld section looks like a direct copy from the feature page and contains stuff about comps, etc. that really isn't useful to end users. It also contains outdated test instructions that are pretty useless now that firewalld is default. The attached patch cleans it up a bit, proofreading where necessary and converting the "testing" section to some examples of how to control firewalld from the command line, with examples on how to work directly with port numbers added (I think that's a fairly common task). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. -- relnotes-content mailing list relnotes-content@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/relnotes-content
