+ Fedora Core went through a [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FreeSoftwareAnalysis licensing audit] initiated by the [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Board Fedora Board]  to ensure that all the software included in Fedora is compliant with the package licensing guidelines. This process is now complete for Fedora Core and as a result of which several changes have been made.

+ `openmotif' package has been [https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2006-August/msg01314.html dropped] due to a non-free license. Software packages previously dependant on the openmotif library has been rebuilt to use lesstif.

+ `macutils` has been dropped due to a non-free license - https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-maintainers/2006-August/msg00021.html.

+ `ckermit` has been dropped due to a non-free license.
+ 
+ `cleanfeed` has been dropped due to a non-free license.
+ 
+ `aspell-nl` package has been changed to include GPL licensed data.
+ 
+ `crypto-utils`  PGP licensed code was removed in favor of new GPL licensed code.
+ 
+ `netpbm` had all of the unlicensed or improper files removed from the  source tarball.
