If it works for you, click "Works for me" and write a little bit about how you tested it. That counts as a "+1" of karma for that update. When it gets to +3, the system automatically flags the update to be pushed to stable. You don't have to specifically test rpy to give karma on the update, I have a high degree of confidence in rpy continuing to work.
