Any suggestions, anyone?  Am I better off just pulling roundcubemail from
EL-4?

4.3.9 at epoch 0 is less than 1.4.11 at epoch 1.

I've no idea whether the Fedora-style PEAR packages will work with the
RHEL4 php-pear, in any case.  I'd suggest you bring this up on
fedora-php-devel-list.
