It is Enrico choice on the ipsvd submission https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=176579 There has been a whole thread: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-extras-list/2006-February/msg01720.html My personal advice is that Enrico gave right answers to the security issues by doing a real audit of used dietlibc code. I am also confident that he will rebuild in no time if there is a security issue in dietlibc. He also gave numbers explaining why there is a big gain in efficiency. The counter arguments were weak in my opinion, like glibc is better in any case, or there should only be one libc. The precedence argument which may have made sense is moot now that the guidelines explicitely require asking FESCO. -- Pat -- Fedora-maintainers mailing list Fedora-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-maintainers -- Fedora-maintainers-readonly mailing list Fedora-maintainers-readonly@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-maintainers-readonly
