wrt 2) why?  Apparently, removing perl.i386 in Core has not broken
any package in Core. And the few in Extras 7 have been put onto the
multi-lib blacklist. Since Extras 6 does not contain any multilib
packages except for "wine" and its deps, there is no broken
upgrade path. Or where is it?
