A time this doesn't work is if the packager is new, and has no experience reviewing packages. Granted, learning to review is great, but someone with a little more experience should probably oversee the review. I know I stumbled through a few before I felt comfortable doing some completely on my own, and still refer to experts on many. However, this method certainly does have merit, and please don't give up on my account. I just know that when I was new to Fedora, that's how it worked for me. I also like to know something about the packages I review. I mean, I can rpmlint with the best of them, but since I don't run Postgres at all, reviewing these packages (to me at least) doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Maybe I wrong here though. I find that if I understand the package, or at least the related items, I can offer a better review; thus hopefully improving the entire Fedora experience. stahnma On 4/11/07, Hans de Goede <j.w.r.degoede@xxxxxx> wrote:
