on 2007-03-20 are online:

Executive summary:

The following drafts are now official guidelines, having been accepted
by FESCO last week:

 * Codifying when it is safe for scriptlets to write to various
   directories:
   http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDraft/ScriptletsWriteDirs
 * Prepping BuildRoot for %install:
   http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/BuildRootHandling

If not already done as you read this, they should soon be written into
the guidelines proper.

Issues pending FESCO ratification:

 * Guidelines for using cmake (8 yea, 0 nay, 1 abstention):
   http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/cmake

Misc business:

 * Formal rejection of any guidelines requiring ipv6 support; the
committee feels this is a policy issue. (7 yea, 0 nay).

 * Cleanups in progress over various wiki pages under the committee's
   purview, starting with
   http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Committee

 * More discussion of Ruby Gems:
   http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/RubyGems
There's some question about whether Gems should be permitted at all
in Fedora, and discussion is ongoing. The committee welcomes (and
indeed requests) input from everyone on this matter.

Please see the minutes and IRC log for complete information.
