Personally, I'm tired of that "3rd party" topic unless there is a
program, where 3rd party vendors can register (and share details about
their requirements) and a set of strict guidelines on how to keep a
distribution release ABI- and API-compatible. I'm not comfortable with
the scenario, in which an unknown 3rd party vendor replaces or modifies
arbitrary packages of the distribution without any guidelines.
