While we don't require every software we cover to be open source, (1) we usually prefer it where there are good alternatives and the non-open software is not alreaday hugely popular on Fedora; (2) we don't usually feature software that costs money. If I understand correctly, fman is payware and thus I don't think the editors (I'm just one of several) will consider it suitable for coverage in Fedora Magazine. -- Paul W.
