It starts out introducing the reader to what Inkscape is, but by the end it's delving into extension code. That's not a scope that will appeal to most readers. I suggest you reconsider this article from the POV of a reader. What does this reader want to do exactly? Write an extension? In that case the introductory material should all be struck.
