That makes people associate it with "FCX is transferred from the company
supported project to the community maintenance project".

And when Fedora becomes a foundation, wouldn't the fathering project
be a community project itself? So the term might even be consuing in
the not-to-long future.

How about simply a neutral term like "Fedora Legacy, the security
maintenance project"?
