RHL9 glibc update OK with vanilla kernel?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

On my otherwise purely-RHL9 system I run the latest v2.4.x kernel. I
need a fairly recent kernel to support my Gigabit Ethernet adapter,
support not present in the RHL9 kernels.

Are there any known compatibility problems with the current i686 glibc
packages (released yesterday) and a plain-vanilla 2.4.3x kernel? Any
loss of functionality or other Bad Stuff(tm)?

Thanks.
