What do you want to update at all with RH8? RH8 is unsupported since a
longer time, even not supported by the Fedora Legacy Project due to lack
of interest.

This seems not to be a yum for RH8.

I highly recommend to at least upgrade to RH9, as long as you are the
only one with root permissions on that host.
