I am seeing a segfault also. I did the rpm --rebuilddb thing and rm'd the
lock files but no change.

This is a UP machine.

FWIW:
(sylvester pts1) # uname -r
2.4.20-42.9.legacy
(sylvester pts1) # rpm -q yum
yum-2.0.8-1.mtd
(sylvester pts1) # rpm -q rpm
rpm-4.2-1
(sylvester pts1) # rpm -q redhat-release
redhat-release-9-3
(sylvester pts1) #

The yum rpm is a custom rpm I build for use with my private repos. Only the
config files are changed to protect the innocent. This has been running fine
since yum-2.0.8 was released up until the less rpm hit the legacy repos.

If you need more info just ask.
