Jim, When doing the source-level QA and testing the resulting binaries, I tested linpng10 (on FC1) using the pngtest.c program included with the sources, as well as running the gimp help browser (the only app. I could find that uses libpng10 on FC1). For libpng, I also ran the included pngtest.c + ran other programs that use libpng (such as Mozilla) to see if they render .png graphics files okay. To "prove" to myself that libpng/libpng10 routines were being called, I installed the .debuginfo rpms and ran them setting breakpoints to see that they were being called, which they were.
