I've built a kernel from Dominic's SRPM and have installed it on a
machine with an 82540EM ethernet controller.  This is working with
the standard e1000 driver, but ethtool -d only shows 32 bytes of
data.  With the previous kernel (2.4.18-18.7.x) I got 128 bytes.
So it seems that the patch from FC1 is correct.  I'm currently
building a new kernel with that patch.

Meanwhile,

# uptime
  2:36pm  up 31 min,  1 user,  load average: 0.30, 0.41, 0.33

it look OK...
