Re: Problem with GPG Key

Still unable to get yum to work on my RH 7.2 system.

When I last posted, the output of:

rpm -Kv /var/cache/yum/updates/packages/cvs-1.11.1p1-9.7.legacy.i386.rpm

gave me:

MD5 sum OK: 084e0d35954655739b8d074ac2a4044f
gpg: Signature made Sat 24 Jan 2004 02:01:34 AM CST using DSA key ID 731002FA
gpg: Good signature from "Fedora Legacy (http://www.fedoralegacy.org) <secnotice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>"
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
Fingerprint: D66D 121F 9784 5E7B 2757 8C46 108C 4512 7310 02FA

I edited the trust level on the key in gpg and now I get the following, which seems better:

/var/cache/yum/updates/packages/cvs-1.11.1p1-9.7.legacy.i386.rpm:
MD5 sum OK: 084e0d35954655739b8d074ac2a4044f
gpg: Signature made Sat 24 Jan 2004 02:01:34 AM CST using DSA key ID 731002FA
gpg: Good signature from "Fedora Legacy (http://www.fedoralegacy.org) <secnotice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>"

But when I try to use yum to update a package, it still says:

Error: GPG Signature check failed for /var/cache/yum/updates/packages/cvs-1.11.1p1-9.7.legacy.i386.rpm
You may want to run yum clean or remove the file:
/var/cache/yum/updates/packages/cvs-1.11.1p1-9.7.legacy.i386.rpm
You may also want to check to make sure you have the right gpg keys
Exiting.

Any idea on what to try next?

Thanks.
