Yum, by default, ignores packages that match "kernel*". Edit your /etc/yum.conf file to change this. Yum on 7.x mimics up2date on 7.x which did the same (ignore kernel by default). > 2.) Red Hat currently hosts, and will continue to host, a end user mailing list for Red Hat Linux, with specific lists for each release.
