i586 kernel updates missing (was: Mirror change...)

I just ran into this on an older box I was updating.  It's got an i586
kernel package installed and yum would not see any updates for it
(after I commented out the exclude=kernel* in yum.conf, of course).
Looking on the download server, there are no kernel*.i586 rpms.  Are
those not included intentionally or by accident?  I don't know how
many folks will miss them.  I just happened to find this out when I
was testing an old box.
