There seems to be no yum headers for rh8.0 os and updates at fedora.us:
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/8.0/i386/RPMS.os/ http://download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/8.0/i386/RPMS.updates/
The RPMS.legacy dir has the headers and they also exist for 7.x legacy, os and updates channels. Or am I missing something obivious here?
I also found it confusing that the packages in the legacy channel were signed with the fedora and not with he legacy GPG key:
