Depends on how large changes will be required, but in general I would
like to avoid a fork if manageable otherwise.  I don't have a 7.x box to
test/develop with (or the time right now), but I guess the changes in
scripts are doable (mostly rpm-python, I believe) and if we include the
"distrel checking script" which has been proposed a couple of times, the
specfile could be auto-conditionalized as well.
