Bad idea for anything to be messing with the root user's keychain, really. I just don't like the sound of that...
Well, FreshRPMs.net doesn't seem to have a problem with it. What about printing a message in the postinst to remind the user to import the GPG keys? This would be analogous to the Horde RPMs printing a message in the postinst to remind the user to restart httpd/apache.
