Is the .legacy suffix really needed? When the "old" distributions reach EOL it is clear that there will be no more offcial updates from Red Hat/Fedora. So I think .legacy is not needed.
What personally worries me a lot is to publish to update/errata packages in timely manner, including announcements and a good errata overview web page. This does not even work for FC1 updates yet. Update annoucements are not GPG signed, posted to the wrong mailing list or we don't even get an announcement at all - like for the latest kernel update *2135. No errata overview page either yet.
Is it now consensus that Fedora Legacy will take care about RHL 7.2/7.3/8.0 starting January 1st and RHL 9 after April?
