You first need to find out if the laptop is using secure boot. That will change how you go about things. Fedora 18 will support secure boot installations when it launches, but Fedora 17 currently does not (easily at least).
If you don't have secure boot then it's just as simple as installing it on any other distribution. Just make sure you don't overwrite your windows partitions (NTFS and the new ReFS) and you should be good.
