I've been running F9 for about a week on a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ240E, with
no serious problems to speak of.  So far, it appears to be handling
the hardware better than F8, with less need for customization.  There
are of course a couple of tweaks that you'll probably want to make,
but nothing critical.

As far as your list, all seem to be working fine, except the hindi (I
havn't tried it).  Although, I did not have any problems in F8 either
(e.g. the touchpad worked fine).

To get the headphone jack working, I had to add the following to modprobe.conf:
   options snd-hda-intel model=vaio

I should also mention that I have not yet tested Xen on this machine,
since dom0 is not supported in F9 (should be back in F10).  Note,
you'll have to do the bios hack to turn on virtualization support - it
worked fine for me.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

make sure your system is set to boot from DVD instead of HardDrive.

when you turn on your machine, there should be a momentary (a second or
so) message saying something like "Press F11 to change boot order". You
need to change the boot order so the DVD is first.
In some cases, you may need to go into to BIOS setup to do it. All
systems are a little different.

Thanx Dear for the your reply

But Even after i change the boot order it's not booting from DVD. & even i
just want to know that is that only i386 is needed for the fedora 9
installation.

when you say "unzip" above, what do you mean?

the DVDs should be written directly to DVD - there is no unzipping
involved. the files you download should be complete DVD images.

what files are you downloading? (provide URLs)

this is the one you want.
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/9/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-9-i386-DVD.iso

you should download that, then burn it to DVD. Note that the extension
is .iso, not .zip

The file is a DVD image. When burning to DVD, make sure you choose to
burn as an image. Otherwise you will have a DVD which has a single large
file on it.

Think you are doing something wrong. There's no zip file. It's an iso
image. Maybe you are using Windows and winrar thinks athat the iso
image should be "unzipped". Don't do that. Follow the instructions
here http://docs.fedoraproject.org/readme-burning-isos/en_US/
