From: Thorsten Leemhuis on gitlab.com https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/merge_requests/2917#note_1850820347 > At build time, Makefile will create a tar.gz archive That looks somewhat odd. Is there a strong reason for that which I missed when quickly looking at this? Such an approach makes it easier to inspect stuff and hide something. Can't there be some placeholder in kernel.spec.template that is replaced by when by make when processing the Makefile, just like we do for a lot of other stuff? Yes, might be a bit more complicated because the list of files is not known in advance, but might be worth it. -- _______________________________________________ kernel mailing list -- kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to kernel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
