From: Prarit Bhargava on gitlab.com https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/merge_requests/2606#note_1490398737 I looked into this with a few managers, and CEE. We don't see a need for this information to be exposed beyond the boottime and runtime messages that we currently have. The worry is that a sysfs listing may indicate the 'permanent' disabling of a device to a end-user. We have had cases where we have disabled a device and then due to feedback, re-enabled the device. _______________________________________________ kernel mailing list -- kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to kernel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
