From: Waiman Long on gitlab.com https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/merge_requests/2311#note_1290180647 According to the PROVE_RAW_LOCK_NESTING entry in lib/Kconfig.debug: NOTE: There are known nesting problems. So if you enable this option expect lockdep splats until these problems have been fully addressed which is work in progress. This config switch allows to identify and analyze these problems. It will be removed and the check permanently enabled once the main issues have been fixed. If unsure, select N. So it looks like there will be lockdep failures if we enable that. We can certainly build test kernel with that enabled for internal testing, but I don't believe we should enable that for now especially on a non-RT_PREEMPT kernel. _______________________________________________ kernel mailing list -- kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to kernel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
