So, I'm just asking a question - not wanting, nor intending, to hold up any
processing of this item ...

When I look at the upstream kernel source tree with respect to the rk3399
driver, all I see are device tree related files (I don't mean that literally,
just that all related files are under, or tightly-coupled to, device tree).
RHEL doesn't support device tree, we specifically only support ACPI based
implementations/platforms.

Hoping someone can un-confuse me?  ;)
