OK, so right now we actually enable it for normal rawhide kernels that have the debug options set. Originally we enabled it everywhere, and that led to a number of machines having issues with the driver causing hangs and crashes. We worked out a compromise to leave it enabled in debug builds until it was stable. I'm guessing you feel it's stable now.
