Recently I have seen yum slowness with
kernel-PAE-3.8.0-0.rc3.git1.2.fc19.i686, which was unexpected. I'm
going to try an update using kernel-PAE-3.8.0-0.rc4.git1.1.fc19.i686
a little later this morning and see if I see the same thing.
Previously I had only been seeing this with debug kernels. I don't
know if this time is due to the kernel or something else.
3.8.0-0.rc4.git1.1.fc19 doesn't seem to help whatever the problem is.
Since the 3.8 kernels seem OK stability wise, I'm going to try it on
an f18 machine where yum updates go pretty fast and see if they are
still fast.
