CFLAGS-$(CONFIG_PPC64)  := -mminimal-toc -mtraceback=none
-mcall-aixdesc

Groovy, I just kicked off a build with CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE unset on
ppc64, and it seems to have made it farther.
