SATA Disk not recogized on Toshiba NB100 / ICH7

Hi,

I hope that posting here is an acceptable way of getting some feedback
on an issue I'm seeing. I have recently aquired a toshiba nb100 netbook.
It's a stock Atom-Netbook thing with a harddisk. It comes with ubuntu
preinstalled.

I replaced the 80 GB Ubuntu HDD with a 320 GB empty HDD but I fail at
getting any recent Fedora Kernel to recognize the Disk.

The Fedora 8-Gold Kernel does recognize the disk and I even managed to
get F8 installed using it. F9, F10 and Rawhide don't see the disk. GRML
(Debian-Based Live-CD with Kernel 2.6.26 sees the disk just fine).

noapic and irqpoll don't help, changing the controller to
'compatibility' from AHCI get's me a different error but still fails.

With newer kernels I'm seeing this:

ata1: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 300)
ata1.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xec)
ata1.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0x4)

Complete dmesg-output is at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=476431

Thanks for listening.
