However, that's not what I'm asking. > The default is for Ctrl-Alt-Del is mapped to "Show Logout Prompt". My point is that the logout prompt is set by default to Shutdown. When I reported this to BZ (see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=489519) I was told that this was an intentional change, with the implication that it's hardwired and not user-configurable. The last time I shut down my system was about a year ago when going on vacation. It's safe to say that I would *never* want this to be the default. If I hit a key combination for "Show Logout Prompt" I would expect the natural default action at the prompt to be Logout, which it used to be in previous versions of Plasma as far back as I can remember. As it stands, I now have to re-wire my muscle memory so as not to hit Return without manually selecting a different option. This is terrible user interface design and a violation of the ancient Principle Of Least Surprise. I asked on BZ for a pointer to where this change was discussed to see if I could understand the justification for it. That was nearly two weeks ago. I still haven't had a reply. poc -- _______________________________________________ kde mailing list -- kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to kde-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
