Let's ask chatgpt:
In KDE, the `shutdownType` parameter in the `~/.config/ksmserverrc` file determines the action to be taken when the session ends. The possible values and their meanings are as follows:- `0`: Logout - This will log out the current user session.
- `1`: Reboot - This will restart the computer.
- `2`: Halt (or Shutdown) - This will shut down the computer.
So, in your case, `shutdownType=2` means that the system is set to shut down when the session ends.

Thanks, that's something to look at. Unfortunately the meanings of the
various option codes don't seem to be documented anywhere I can find.
