Re: fingerprint working on F40 kde?

It works flawlessly on my machine, but keep in mind that the first login after a reboot and after logging out still ask for your password. You can use your fingerprint to "remove" the screen lock, i.e. to resume your desktop after you hit "SUPER+L" or the time respective screen lock timeout has elapsed. In that case a "scan your fingerprint on the reader" message is shown underneath the password textbox. Are you getting that message?

Are you able to authenticate with your fingerprint in Konsole? For example, when you are trying to execute sudo. Does Konsole show something like "place your finger on the fingerprint reader"?

Best regards,
Dennis

PS: I'm talking about default settings.

In the past kde did not support unlocking the screen using fingerprint.  Now that we are on F40 I decided to try again.  I was able to enroll a fingerprint but when I try to use it to unlock the screen nothing happens.  Is this supposed to work?

Thanks,
Neal
