Discover no longer checks for updates [was: Discover is no longer in the tray in F38]

This is not correct. The problem is that Discover no longer automatically checks for new updates. Discover appears in the tray (once started) and can be controlled the same as other tray applications.

Does anyone know how to make Discover check for updates (say) once a day?
