F36 KDE Live image freezes immediately at boot-up on new computer

Greetings,

When booting the F36 KDE iso via a USB stick the screen background and mouse cursor appears, but the screen and mouse are immediately frozen, at least on my computer purchased two weeks ago*.

I've successfully booted-up using the live image at 800x600 resolution and not encounter the freeze-up, but that resolution is not desirable.

Do you have any suggestions, e.g., alternate start-up options?

Thanks,

Lyman Neuschaefer
