See my reply to George R Goffe. If you haven't changed anything from
the defaults, the SDDM login screen has a menu at lower left where you
can select Wayland or X11.
You are right, unfortunately I'm on a 4K monitor and with Wayland everything
was on par but with X11 everything is too small. Any way to have the things
scaled up also with X11? I can't live without a saved session but also I can't
get blind to look at my Konsole.
