I'm having all kinds of problems with KDE on Wayland since upgrading.
But I can't get X11 to work at all. Sometimes it won't start. When it
does, and I right click for Konsole, nothing happens, and it's frozen
completely. Any suggestions?

I'm also using X11 w/ KDE as Wayland has broken Synergy, which I need.

Is it frozen completely, or is it just the mouse click isn't working right? I have a problem that I've had since upgrading to F34 where my mouse randomly won't click consistently. From my testing its getting stuck in the focus of one window and can't get out.

The keyboard doesn't have this issue, try pressing the menu key on your keyboard whilst you are moused over the desktop. Does the context menu come up then?

The only fix I've found for my issue is to log out, then log into another dummy account. Then I can log back out and back into mine and it works fine.

Cheers,

Ayden

I have had issues on F33, NVIDIA and KDE/X11. I usually have two or three accounts open at one time and switch between them. When I have slow screen response to mouse or keyboard, I have seen KWIN using up lots of CPU on one of the locked accounts.

I had to wipe out all my Plasma/KDE configuration to get working better. Still have some weird issues but it looks to be related to the NVIDIA driver and Linux.

In trying to get KDE working with X11, make sure that the driver is being loaded properly and all the necessary libraries are installed. For Plasma, I would try a new account if you get a GUI login screen.

I quit using sddm due to login issues and black screen. Have not had that issue since moving to gdm.
