Thanks for that Patrick. I followed those suggestions, I think. I closed down the Dolphin process, logged out and logged in (that should have saved the session, shouldn't it?), and when that didn't do the trick I removed the suggested file from /etc/xdg, but something is still starting Dolphin. I can't tell from the Bugzilla thread whether the issue is resolved upstream. I guess not.
