One more test and one more problem: Tested plugging in an external monitor. This was not very good. First, it was very difficult to find a cursor so I could do anything. The laptop screen got rescaled and looked awful. Switching to external monitor only was fine. Unplugging external monitor left laptop screen scaled badly.
