I replied to this tread couple of days ago but I didn't see it come back to the list. I had found dolphin mentioned in the file ~/.config/.ksmserverrc. A combination of removing that file, switching to starting with an empty session, logout/login, switching back to a saved session and then saving the session fixed it for me.
