I just noticed that you said you just updated from F23 to F31.
Unless that is a typo, I am very impressed.

to be precise I've reinstalled the machine keeping my /home partition.

Digging through koji, I couldn't even find knotes, kaddressbook or
korganizer as separate packages for F23, so I'm not sure what version
they were at.

I'm using them since kde 3, so they should be there, of course I do not have
any idea about the versions I was using. But the problem should be there since
the data are quite standard (.ics for the calendars, .vcf for the contacts and
xml for the notes). The problem is that Akonadi doens't starts so the
different components doesn't work and I can't reimport my data.

Thank you for the hints.

Walter

But for plasma-desktop you jumped from 5.7.5 to 5.18.2.
And for kf5 you jumped from 5.27.0 to 5.67.0

I wish I could help you more, but I never use akonadi, or any of it's
components, so I've never run into a problem like that.

Dear all,

I've dug a little bit the issue (without solving it) and I discovered that
akonadi can't start at all, this is the message in:

Dear Fedora Experts,
I've just completed the migration of my Linux box from Fedora 23 to 31
but I
still have some problems in "importing" my old korganizer, knotes and
kaddressbook data.

I usually use the akonadi to import all of them through the akonadi
applet
I was used to find in my system tray (aknoaditray, I suppose) but it
seems
that it is not there anymore. At least in my fresh installed Fedora 31.

Do I missed to install something or something has changed with the newest
version?

Currently what it is installed about akonadi is:

     rpm -qa | grep -i akonadi
    kf5-akonadi-server-mysql-19.04.3-4.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-pimcommon-akonadi-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-server-19.04.3-4.fc31.x86_64
    akonadi-1.13.0-114.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-search-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-mailimporter-akonadi-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    akonadi-import-wizard-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-contacts-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-calendar-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-notes-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-libkdepim-akonadi-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kdepimlibs-akonadi-4.14.10-34.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-kmailtransport-akonadi-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
    kf5-akonadi-mime-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64

Any idea?
