Re: Release a USB device?

Where is your focus when you connect the phone to the computer? I sometimes had an issue with host grabbing the usb when the focus (mouse cursor) was outside of the virtual machine, but whenever the mouse was "trapped" in the VM window, the guest could obtain the usb device.

Maybe, it was mere coincidence, but you can at least try it.

Sure, that is what I have.  But the VM can't obtain the Samsung phone because it is "in use" by the
host.  Even if I check the box, I get an error.  The phone shows up in the Device Notifier of the host
and I need it to be released and not show there.  I have no problem with flash drives and usb WiFi dongles.
