In this case, I think it's a bug in kde-settings which owns
/usr/share/applications/kde-mimeapps.list
It currently contains
application/pdf=kde4-okularApplication_pdf.desktop;
which is no longer correct, it should say
application/pdf=okularApplication_pdf.desktop

But I see that every entry in that file has a "kde4-" prefix for the desktop files. Any idea why?

Should I file a bug report for this pdf entry alone or is everything else supposed to be fixed too?
