I got it!  It *has* been there the whole time, but every time I click on the 
Cryptography tab, it re-enumerates *all* the keys in my keydb, which takes 
forever.  Eventually, the selection box becomes usable.

Sorry for the noise, though it takes about 30 seconds to load.  -A
