I installed a package a few weeks back and added a widget to my Plasma

This can't be that hard can it?

If you click on the wrench of the panel and then move your mouse to hover over the widget
there should be a red X for you to click to remove it from the panel. Is that not the case?

That did it, thanks. I'd call that lack of "affordance"

seriously that's one of the few things about plasma widgets which is logical - the way you resize them is pervert because where i come from you place something by the left top corner and resize it to right/bottom and not the opposite
